Install and sign in
TRACK needs iOS 17 or later. Sign in with Apple to sync your sessions to your TRACK account. Recording and lap timing work offline.

Allow location “While Using”
Lap timing uses your iPhone’s GPS and motion sensors. Allow Precise Location when asked. Without it TRACK can’t time laps.

Mount the phone
Use a solid mount with a clear view of the sky, such as the windshield or the top of the dash. A loose phone or one in a pocket gives noisy data.

Pick the track and drive
Choose the venue and layout, then start recording before you leave the pits. TRACK times laps and sectors from that venue’s start/finish line.
How accurate is the lap timing?
The iPhone’s own GPS is good for comparing laps, but trees, bridges and pit buildings reduce its accuracy. For more precise timing, pair a 25 Hz external GPS receiver; see Add-on devices for supported units and their status.
Which add-on devices work?
The add-on devices page lists each one, what it adds and whether it works on iPhone, Android or both. Some are labelled “awaiting hardware validation”, which means support is built but not yet confirmed on a physical unit.
Can I use a second phone as a dash display?
Yes. Open TRACK Dash on the second phone and pair it with the recording phone. You can change pages with a Bluetooth page-turner or game controller (we’re still testing specific remotes). iOS doesn’t let apps use the volume buttons for this.
Does TRACK work with OBD-II adapters?
Only Bluetooth Low Energy adapters. iOS doesn’t allow apps to use classic-Bluetooth ELM327 adapters.
How do I sync my GoPro video?
Import the video in the session. TRACK lines it up with your data using the GoPro’s own motion and GPS data. If it’s slightly off, nudge it by hand.
Can I see my sessions on a computer?
Yes. Sign in at trackmotorsport.app/app with the same Apple ID you use in the app.
How do I export my data?
In the app, open Settings and choose Export all data. You get a JSON file of everything TRACK stores about you.
How do I delete my account?
Sign in on the web, open Settings and choose Delete account. Your account is disabled straight away, you’re signed out everywhere and your data is queued for permanent removal. Export anything you want to keep first.
Is TRACK free?
Recording, lap and sector timing, basic analysis and export are free. Paid plans aren’t on sale yet; see Pricing.
Is TRACK safe to use while driving?
Use TRACK only on closed circuits at organised events, and set it up before you drive. Don’t touch the phone while the car is moving. Follow your event’s rules and the instructions of officials.
