Terms

The rules of the road.

TRACK terms of use. Effective 18 October 2026.

In short

  • Use TRACK only on closed circuits at organised events, never on public roads.
  • Set the app up before you drive and don’t handle your phone while the car is moving.
  • TRACK’s lap times are for your own analysis. They aren’t official timing unless your event organizer says so.
  • Your data stays yours. You give us only the rights we need to run the features you use.

These terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Stable Platform Inc. (“we”, “us”), which makes TRACK. They cover the TRACK iPhone app, the TRACK web app at trackmotorsport.app/app and this website (together, “TRACK”). By using TRACK you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use TRACK.

Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard licensed application terms also apply. Where they conflict with these terms, Apple’s terms win for the app.

Safety comes first

Motorsport is dangerous. TRACK is a tool for reviewing and improving your driving at organised events on closed circuits. It is not for use on public roads, and it isn’t a safety system.

Mount your phone securely, set TRACK up before you go out, and don’t look at or touch the phone while the car is moving except through a display you have set up to be glanced at safely. Follow your event’s rules and the instructions of officials, marshals and instructors at all times. Coaching from TRACK, including TRACK Engineer, is general guidance based on your data. Never let it override your own judgement, your instructor or the conditions in front of you.

Accounts

You can use much of the app without an account. To sync or use the web app you sign in with Apple or Google. You must be at least 13, and old enough to use TRACK under the laws where you live. Keep your sign-in secure. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the web app’s settings.

Your data and content

You own the sessions, video, notes and other content you create with TRACK. If you sync or share content through our servers, you give us a limited permission to store, process and display it, only so we can provide the features you use (for example syncing to the web app, or showing a session to an instructor you invite). That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies we must keep for a short time to complete deletion.

Only upload content you have the right to share. Don’t record or share other people in ways they haven’t agreed to.

Organizers and events

Organizers who use TRACK for timing or TRACK Live are responsible for running their events, for the permissions their entrants give, and for any results they publish. TRACK lap times aren’t official timing unless the organizer adopts them. We aren’t responsible for an event, its rules or its results.

Acceptable use

Don’t misuse TRACK. That includes trying to break into or overload our systems, reverse-engineering the service except where the law allows it, collecting other people’s data, impersonating anyone, uploading unlawful content, or using TRACK to break the law. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Lap timing and the core app are free. Paid plans aren’t on sale yet. When they are, prices and what each plan includes will be shown before you buy, and in-app purchases will be billed and managed by Apple under its terms, including renewals and refunds.

Other products

TRACK works with devices and services made by others, such as GPS receivers, cameras, OBD-II adapters, Apple and Google sign-in. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for them. Product names are used only to describe compatibility and belong to their owners.

Changes to TRACK

TRACK is under active development. Features labelled Beta, Demo, In development, Coming soon or Planned may change, behave unexpectedly or be withdrawn. We may update these terms. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. If you keep using TRACK after that, the new terms apply.

No warranty

TRACK is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. GPS, sensors and timing can be wrong. Don’t rely on TRACK for anything where an error could cause harm.

Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or for injury, damage or loss arising from driving, motorsport events or your vehicle. Our total liability to you for any claim about TRACK is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.

Ending these terms

You can stop using TRACK and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we have to for legal reasons, and we’ll tell you unless we’re not allowed to. Sections about your content, warranties and liability continue after these terms end.
