Spare phone or tablet as TRACK Dash

A real race dash from a device in your drawer.

Mount a second iPhone or iPad where you can glance at it and it becomes a dedicated dash: delta, lap times, sectors, shift lights and engine warnings, paired securely with the phone that records.

01What it adds to TRACK

What it adds to TRACK

  • 01

    Not screen mirroring

The dash runs its own layouts, sized for a glance at speed, while the recording phone stays on the windshield.

  • 02

    Pages you build

Nine page templates (Race, Delta, Timing, Map, G, Engine, Stint, Min, Brake) per car, with your own fields, shift points and warnings.

  • 03

    Pages that change themselves

A warning jumps to the engine page; you can have lap completion flash the timing page. Any button acknowledges it.

  • 04

    Secure and robust

Paired with a numeric code, encrypted, resumes after dropouts, and shows clearly when data goes stale.

02How it connects

How it connects

  1. 1Install TRACK on both devices.
  2. 2On the dash device: open TRACK Dash. On the recording phone: Dash › Pair.
  3. 3Confirm the same code on both screens. Next time they reconnect automatically.

03Specs that matter to TRACK

Wi-Fi or peer-to-peer (no router needed)

05Where it stands

Tested, pending, and good to know.

Verified so far
  • Pairing, encryption, resume and paging logic covered by TRACK’s test suite.
Still to do
  • Two-device pairing at a real venue still needs testing.
Good to know
  • Keep the dash device charged and out of direct sun; iOS dims hot devices.
