How it works
- 1Average speed = track length ÷ lap time.
- 2Distance per tenth = average speed × 0.1 s. At 100 mph that’s about 4.5 m: a car length.
FAQ
Why is average speed so much lower than my top speed?
Corners. Average speed is dominated by how fast you go through the slow parts of the lap, which is why exit speed and minimum corner speed matter so much.
